For nearly 30 years, Alpadia Montreux has offered a unique setting in Switzerland for an immersive stay in the safest region of the entire French-speaking world. Located on the shores of Lake Geneva, our school offers unique activities and unparalleled accommodations, in line with Swiss excellence.

Course Programs
General French courses
This course consists of 20 lessons per week, totaling 15 hours of classes. A maximum of 12 students per group.
The structure of this course helps you acquire general French language skills that you can easily practice every day. You will improve your language fluency while enjoying plenty of free time.
The minimum duration for complete beginners A1* is two weeks.
This course consists of 25 lessons per week: the standard course plus 5 lessons per week dedicated to oral skills. A maximum of 12 students per group.
This course allows you to make significant progress.
The minimum duration for complete beginners A1* is two weeks.
This course consists of 30 lessons per week: the standard course plus 5 lessons per week dedicated to oral skills and 5 lessons per week dedicated to enhancing writing skills. A maximum of 8 students in the writing enhancement groups.
The minimum duration for complete beginners A1* is two weeks.
This course consists of 25 or 30 lessons per week: the standard course plus 5 or 10 private lessons per week.
This is the option to choose if you want to combine regular French classes with private lessons! Solid foundations are taught in group settings. Benefit from additional lessons alone with your teacher to work according to your level and language expectations.
The intensity and duration are up to you!
Tailor-made teaching that allows you to progress at your own pace. You will cover topics relevant to your personal goals with the teacher.
Choose the number of private lessons you want, starting from 1 lesson.
Exam preparation
This course consists of 30 lessons per week: the standard course plus 10 lessons per week dedicated to preparing for the DELF B1, DELF B2, or DALF C1 exams. Maximum of 8 students in the exam preparation groups.
The program lasts 4 weeks and will provide you with all the tools necessary to boost your confidence and prepare you thoroughly for the exams.

Internship duration: up to 8 weeks.

Host familiy
Choosing to stay with a host family means enjoying the most complete immersion in French and Swiss language and culture.
Located within 40 minutes of the school, all Alpadia host families have been carefully selected. This ensures you receive the best support and quality.
Our families are ready to help you discover French and Swiss culture and assist you in your learning journey.
You can choose to stay in a single or double room, with either breakfast only or half-board (breakfast and dinner). Arrivals are on Sunday and departures on Saturday. It is possible to book additional nights.
All dietary requirements are welcome.

Do you want to be completely independent during your stay? Come and enjoy our Studio!
Furnished and cozy, it is located just a 10-minute walk from our school and 2 minutes from the shores of Lake Geneva!
Shared apartments
The ideal solution for being independent without living alone! Our shared apartments allow you to live with other students from the school only.
Fully furnished, these apartments are very spacious and feature a fully equipped kitchen. They are located less than a 10-minute walk from the school. Washing machine available in the building’s laundry room. You also benefit from a cleaning service.
You can choose a single room or a double room.
Hotel residences
Do you want to be independent but still benefit from regular cleaning services? Hotel residences are perfect for you.
Our partner hotel residence offers studios, each with its own kitchenette and private bathroom. It is located 15 minutes from the school.
